    These were big in the late ’70s – early ’80s, when it was the thing to talk to your plants, too. I couldn’t stand the thought of destroying a book, no matter what it was.

    I’m not much on the idea of cutting up books, though there are a number of books I can think of which contain enough… let’s just call it… manure to be ideal for fertilizing plants.

    Sometimes books just can’t be saved, so why not recycle in a nifty way, love it!

    Hmmm. As a librarian, I admit this gives me a twinge. But if the books were damaged beyond use anyway, I guess this is better than trashing them completely!
